Wander at LongWoods Preserve was created to support Maine land conservation as well as offer a community gathering space.
It sits on 54 acres of forever preserved land. Wander at LongWoods includes beautiful walking trails with sculpture, a working farm, and a full-service, boutique event venue. Everything one desires for an unforgettable celebration is here.

Your Hosts
When Alex and Sue Timpson moved to Maine in 1985, there was a lot more open land in the greater Portland area than there is today. As a long time board member of a local land trust, Alex became acutely aware that the pace of development was vastly greater than the rate at which land was being saved.
In 2021, they began an experimental project to preserve the 54 acres of what is now the centerpiece of Wander at LongWoods Preserve. The goal of the project is to create a small business that can ultimately finance the cost to forever conserve land.
At Wander LongWoods Preserve, the hope is that all can celebrate with friends and family amidst nature, art, and good food and beverage. So whether you’re sitting on Wander Terrace enjoying a sunset or choosing to have your marriage celebration here, please know that you are helping to celebrate land forever preserved.
